Good News from Smashwords for E-Book Authors and Readers

For authors:

Smashwords announced today that it is partnering with book distributor Baker & Taylor, which distributes both electronic and printed books.

This is good news for Smashword authors, who will soon be able to see their work reach new readers.

Both e-books and print books will be listed on Blio, an online reading application and bookstore.  Books will also be distributed to libraries through Baker & Taylor’s Axis360.

For readers:

March 4-12 is Read an E-Book Week, and participating authors will offer their books at half price on Smashwords through March 4-10. I don’t know why the sale doesn’t go through the 12th; that is just another one of those mysteries of life we all deal with.

If you haven’t downloaded MEMORY’S CHILD, yet, this week is a great time to buy it at half off the regular $1.99 price.

Visit Smashwords to find other titles on your To Be Read list. Some are free, others are 25% to 75% off the regular list price. Grab a bargain while you can.

Memory's Child is available for all popular e-book reading devices, as well as for PC and Mac.
